The central character in Sarah Treem’s A Feminine Ending is a young woman oboist & composer. Throughout the play, Amanda navigates what it means to be a woman & a composer in modern America. For the west coast premiere, I wrote a score for piano & oboe. Here are two selections from the score.
This is a transition piece between scenes.
This waltz underscores Amanda's final monologue.
